New York, New York. – May 13, 2011: Mortgage rates have hit lows for the year and could soon near the decades-low levels of last year. A 30-year fixed rate mortgage bumped down to 4.63% this past week, and some experts say the rate could soon beat last year’s record low of 4.17%

Mortgage constraints will continue to hamper the market. Los Angeles, CA. – May 12, 2011: According to RealtyTrac, compared to a year ago, for the month of April, fewer Americans had their homes repossessed by banks or were formally noticed for being delinquent on their mortgage payments. In Florida, the foreclosure process took an average of 619 days in the first quarter of 2011, up from 470 days during the same time period in 2010. During the same time period in 2007, it took an average of 169 days for the foreclosure process in Florida.
